FAQ - What is a "Best Wishes" Video?

This idea actually sprouted from the first wedding we ever filmed.

During the reception, one of the bridesmaids walked over to Jacob and asked if she could say a few words to the camera, like an open letter to the couple. We thought that was such a special and lovely idea.

We found a location away from the reception with a nice backdrop and lighting. We had to find somewhere quiet and discreet so we could record the letter without distractions (and without the couple knowing!).

We filmed the first bridesmaid and then decided to ask the rest of the bridal party if they’d be interested in saying a few words of love and support for the couple. Everyone said yes, and we even got the bride’s parents and the groom’s parents to share.

The whole point was the element of surprise. The couple would receive the open letter at a later time, without knowing anyone shared their Best Wishes!

The resulting video was 42 minutes long. The people there had a lot of love for the couple, and the result was heartwarming, often hilarious, and absolutely unique.

Thanks to the one bridesmaid who had the idea, we now offer the extra video to all our clients if they so choose. Since the wedding day itself is fast-paced and the reception is often jam-packed with events, we list the Best Wishes video as an add-on to any package for $150.

That price is really about the extra work on our part. So far, every client who has chosen to add a Best Wishes video has been surprised by all the overwhelming support and love their guests and family share. Not a single client has regretted the investment. Comments and discussions on your wedding day are fleeting and often easily forgotten due to the fast-paced nature of the event.

With a Best Wishes video, those comments of admiration and personal stories are shared with the camera, and the video lasts forever.

We don’t share the Best Wishes videos here or online at all because they are usually very personal, and so special to the clients that we feel it isn’t really right to share online. Now, if the couple decides to share their Best Wishes video, that is completely up to them.

However, if you are an interested client keen on booking our services, we do have one Best Wishes video we can share with you before you book us, to see if it is something you’d like to invest in. All thanks to our special clients who allow us that privilege.

Here at 2:1 Studios, we care about the support and togetherness surrounding your unique love story. We make it a priority to offer extra effort on our part in order for our clients to have the most complete and personal experience they deserve.

With Love,
